Beauty Army Unboxing July 2013!!

I got my Beauty Army in today. Beauty Army is one of my favorite subs because I feel like for only $12 I always get my moneys worth. Plus I like that I'm able to choose my own samples.

This is how the outside of the shipping boxes look.

I got a pink box this month. I almost hate the pink boxes because they photograph so bad.

First look.Totally not impressive.

This is the info card. It just gives you some summer beauty tips!

The first item is a gift card for iTrain. This is valued at $25.  I've seen these in various boxes and I've really wanted to try them, so I was excited to get it in my selection window. You can do these using your laptop, which is awesome since my fiance is always using the TV for his Xbox.

Then I got a Pida Exfoliating Gel. This goes for $1.63. I just picked this because I needed another sample to make six and I know I'm going to use this. I'm going to put this into my little jar that I got last month, so that way it's easier to use.

Then I got a Bikini Soft Smooth Shave Oil. This goes for $3.75? This is actually one of the reason's why I got a box this month. I'm willing to try anything that will prevent razor burn, and this says it helps that. Plus it smells super good, very citrusy. And the sample is a good size.

Then I got some Colorsmash Hair Shadow in hot pink. This goes for $10.28. I used to have full on pink hair, so I couldn't resist getting the hot pink hair chalk. Plus I've really wanted to try it. Also when I googled this product, it seems like the sample size is super close to the size of the full size. Score!

Then I got a Yes to Blueberries Eye Firming Treatment. This goes for $3.99. In all honesty I got this because I want to see how it smells, since I tend to really like how the Yes to products smell. However I can always use some help in my eye area so this will totally get used!

The last item I got is an Addiction NV Gel Eyeliner in Little Betty. This goes for $16. I love this stuff! It is the best gel liner ever. It is creamy and pigmented and it goes on smooth and easy. Sadly this brand went out of business (well for right now, they are just going under a redesign), without me really realizing it or I would have bought all of their gel liners.

All totaled my box is worth $60.65! That is truly amazing since I only paid $12 for my box. I love everything I got and I will be using everything. My favorite thing about Beauty Army is that they always introduce me to new brands (pretty much everything in this box is new except the Yes To item and the Addiction NV, but they were new to me last month.) That's why I get sub boxes is to learn about new brands and I feel like BA does the best job of that. (:

Birchbox Unboxing July 2013!!

I got my Birchbox in yesterday and I was so excited. Last month BB was one of my favorites, so I had high hopes for last month.

Birchbox is only $10 a month and with their epic points system you can't really go wrong trying them out for awhile.

This is how their outer boxes look.

The inner boxes. I think I like their new look a bit better then the old look. It's plain, but I think it grew on me. (:

First look. The theme this month is Power Play.

This is the information card. I guess this box has a little collab with Suits, since the Suits team did pick out one of my items in the box.

Better first look.

The first thing I got is a Color Club nail polish in London Calling. This is a mini and goes for $2. I really love this color! It is like a neon mint green. I really wanted this color last month, but instead I got Reign in Spain, so I'm happy I did end up getting it. Plus look at the cute little box behind it (:

Suits Pick: Dr. Jart+ Ceramidin Cream. This goes for $3. This is formulated for severely dry skin, and since I happen to be a sever dry skin sufferer I can't wait to try this. I've been impressed with other Dr. Jart products I've tried in the past, but I've never really been tempted to buy one. However I can totally see myself being tempted to buy this if it does work super well and gets rid of all my dry patches. (:

Then I got a ModelCo Party Proof Lipstick in Peony. This goes for $8. Mine melted a little bit, but it isn't too much of a big deal. I can get the stuff out of the lid using a lip brush. This color is a super reddish pink color. I've heard great things about ModelCo lipstick, so I have high hopes for this! (: Plus I'm thrilled to have gotten a makeup product two months in a row.

Then I got a Caudalie Divine Legs. This goes for $1.80. This was actually the only thing in the sneak peek video that I was really super excited about, so I was thrilled to get this! I've seen a lot of sparkly leg type products this summer and I'm glad I get to try one without having to buy a big jar of it. Plus I've loved every Caudalie product that I've tried.

Lifestyle Extra: This month it was a pair of bobby pins by Birchbox. These go for $1.66. I'm so happy to have gotten the green ones! These are super pretty. Bobby pins are my hair accessory choice 9 out of 10 times, so these for sure will get used. Plus these are nice and tight!

All totaled my box has a value of $16.46. That isn't a super valuable box, but I love everything I got and I know I'll use everything. I really like that 3 of my products were featured in the sneak peek video (which I don't really know why that matters to me, but it does.) Plus I love that I've gotten 2 great makeup products 2 months in a row. I feel like Birchbox really customizes my boxes to my profile and I really like that. Again Birchbox is a winner this month! (:

Glitter Daze Nail Polish Subscription Unboxing Review July 2013!!

Today I have a new (well new to me) subscription box to show you guys. Glitter Daze Nail Polish! Glitter Daze is an indie nail polish brand, and I have been obsessed with indie polishes lately so when I heard about this sub I had to get it!

There are 3 different options you can get from Super Daze which is $15 to Ultra Daze which is $32. I got the Super Daze option for $15 and it comes with a full size polish, a hand care item, shipping, and a $1 donation to the American Red Cross.

This is how the outside of the box looks! Super pretty and girly.

The girliness continues on the inside. Isn't it super pretty! (:

This is the information card. I really like that she really describes her items. It shows that she put time and thought into the box and items that she made. Which is always a plus.

The first item is the hand care item. It is a mini Super Smooth Basecoat. This is a not yet released product so I have no idea what to even estimate it at! I love trying not yet released items and I love that she gave a must have nail care item. I'm running low on my basecoat, so I'll be sure to try this next time I paint my nails! (:

Then my full size polish is in Summer Garden. This goes for $10. This is actually a polish created specially for the box. I love that she gives out limited items and such for her subscribers. I feel like it gives me more of an extra reason for buying the box! This has a ton of different colors and shapes of glitter in it (including butterflies and flowers.) I absolutely adore it! It is perfect for summer!

Isn't the packaging beautiful?

I'm not going to do a total value because I feel with indie boxes it's not about the value, it's about trying the brands and supporting them! Plus I know that this would have been at least $15 with shipping if I would have only bought the polish and I wouldn't have been able to get the basecoat (or the pretty limited to the box polish color). I love the care that was put into this box. It is so nice and well thought out. Plus the polish is to die for. I think I'll be dropping Julep so I can keep this one and Glitter Guilty, since I'd rather have bunches of unique polishes then Juleps. (:

Sign up here! http://glitterdazenp.com/subscription-box This is not a referral link or anything, just a link to the box.

Ipsy Glam Bag Unboxing July 2013!!!

I got my Ipsy in today, and it was a total surprise! My tracking hasn't been updated since the 10th, but hey I'm not going to complain! I already knew what I was getting since my glam room updated a couple days back, but it is always much more fun to actually have it in my hands!

Ipsy is super cool because they are only $10 a month, but they give you a lot of really awesome deluxe sizes and sometimes there is a full size item! They send out a mix of beauty, hair care, nail polish, and perfume. I think they tend to go for more makeup over anything though.

They always ship in a hot pink mailer, and I love them!

This is the information card. It just says the theme (this month it is Beach Beauty) and the coupons that the companies are offering for Ipsy subscribers.

First look! It looks awesome! (:

This is the bag this month. Hot pink and see through. I didn't think I was going to like it, but I actually like it alot and will totally use it!

The first thing I got is a Big Sexy Hair Weather Proof Humidity Spray. This goes for $6.32. I just want to say that I'm not the biggest fan of the Big Sexy line, but I was so excited to get this! I use some type of no frizz serum everyday, so this will totally get used. (Plus I'm wondering if a spray works better then the oil type stuff that I normally use.)

Then I got a Pop Beauty Pouty Pop Crayon in Rose Romance.  This goes for $4.16. I was lucky this month because this was another variation product that I got in the variation that I wanted (well actually the color I wanted). I wanted a more neutral possibly more nudeish toned color then all the pinks I usually get, but after looking at swatches this is more of a baby pink. I do really like that color too though. I love these types of lip products, since they tend to be on the moisturizing side. This product is a total win!

The next item is a Demeter Roll On Perfume Oil in Salt Air. This goes for $3. I actually got the Benetint, but my mom didn't like how this smells so we traded. I love how this smells and I'm going to be buying the full size. It smells like Avon's Sea (which was discontinued when I was about 8 or 9), so very beachy and summery and I love it!

The next item is the Coola Mineral Sunscreen Moisturizer Unscented. This goes for $5.14. I love Coola products, so I'm excited to try this and see if it is moisturizing or not.

The last item is the California Collection by Bh Cosmetics. This is a mini palette and comes with the shades: Hollywood, San Francisco, and Malibu. This goes for $2.94 (I wasn't really sure how to calculate it, so I just used single shadow prices). This is my favorite thing in the whole bag! I already bought the Malibu palette and I'm excited to use these 3 colors too! They are pretty pigmented and just super pretty!

All totaled my bag has a value of $21.56. That is totally not the most valuable Ipsy bag ever, but it is one of my favorites! I love and will use everything I got and I'm so happy to have been introduced to Bh Cosmetics! I'm sad to have to let Ipsy go for a few months while I move, but I will totally resub when I'm settled since they are one of my favorite subs! :)

Wantable Box Review July 2013!!

I got my first Wantable box in today and I am so excited! I've been on the fence with wanting to subscribe to them for a while, but what finally made me do it was a review I had seen of them for July. In that review their had been a really awesome polish and I really wanted it, so I ended up subscribing! (Silly me, I could have just bought the polish for $10, but boxes are much more fun!)

Wantable is $36 with a subscription or $40 for a one time box. Their quiz is very in depth and they say that you will get more of what you love then what you dislike. They also have a jewelry box and I believe it is the same price.

This is what the outside box looks like. Simple and classy.

They give you a thank you card and then a piece of paper (like an invoice sheet) telling you what you got.

The first thing I got is actually an extra that everyone got. It is a reusable set of Frownies Eye Gels. These go for $9.98. I've actually always wanted to use eye gels like these, but I've never wanted to buy them because I wanted to see how they work first. I have pretty puffy eyes from staying up way too late (yay for having an 11 month old who likes to go to bed at 10 and get up at 5!), so these will probably be used tomorrow.

Then I got a Swagger Cosmetics Highlighting Powder in Rad Bitch. This goes for $14.50. It says this is a highlighter (which I said I dislike), but when I looked it up it also said it could be used as an eyeshadow or over blush. Apparently it is translucent with only red and pink glitter, so I'll probably use it over eyeshadow since it would be too glittery for anything else. I do really like it though because it's totally pretty. One of my favorites in the whole box!

Then I got a MiA BelleZZa Summer Love Eye Crayon in Argento. This goes for $19.50. I actually like using pink eyeshadow in my creases with brown shadow on my lids, so this will get used. However I don't like that when I opened this the stick almost fell out of the case. That is so not good quality!

Then I got a Lise Watier Haute Couleur High Coverage Lip Lacquer in Rose Vintage. This goes for $22.  This is a super pretty light pink! I'm glad that they listened to my quiz and sent me a light pink gloss since I know I will wear this a ton! Also I love the little mirror on the side of it!

Then I got another one of my dislike items Makeup Cherimoya RAW Volume Mascara. This goes for $8. I don't really dislike mascara, I just didn't want to get another of the 29 Cosmetics ones, however I wanted to tell you guys so that way you see how well they follow the profile. Anyway I love the packaging on this and hopefully this really is volumizing! Plus at only $8, if this is the best mascara ever I could totally buy more! (I just googled them and it looks like the only place I can buy them is for 3 dozen at a wholesale website, that's sorta strange?)

Then I got a Mia BelleZZa automatic eyeliner pencil in Black Jade. This goes for $16.50. I was so excited about this! I really like army green eyeliner, but of course when I opened it the tip fell off. I smooshed it back together, but I still contacted Wantable. This brand just doesn't seem the best quality wise to me, since I've never had an eyeliner tip just fall off.

The last item I got is the Rainbow Honey Nail Polish in I Miss You. This goes for $10!! I got the polish I was hoping to get! Yay! I swear that never happens, but it did and I'm so happy! I know I was tacking a gamble subbing just to get a certain item, but it paid off and I've never been happier. Plus at only $10, I think I need all of their polishes. (Or at least the unique ones I don't have.)

Plus I'm totally happy that I got this color. It is so unique in my collection, but I love it. It looks clear with pink,  blue, and purple glitter. Also the glitter is a bunch of funky shapes (including like a butterfly shape). I really love this stuff!

Overall my box has a value of $100.48. I know that's a great value but I only really love 3 of the items (still worth over $36 though, I checked). I'll give them another month after I move, but if it doesn't wow me next time I'll cancel. I think what I didn't like was getting 2 Mia BelleZZa products, I wish they would have stopped at the eyeliner (which if it wasn't broken, I'd love and actually I still do love it). I prefer to get different brands, not two of the same. Also I don't like that I got 2 items in my dislike list. Luckily I liked what they sent me, but it would have been a big bummer if I didn't. Wantable you are on probation.
