Vegan Cuts Beauty Box Review December 2013!!

Hey guys! Today I have a review of my Vegan Cut's Beauty box! I was so excited to get this box this month, since last month's was amazing!

Vegan Cuts Beauty Box is $19.99 a month and they will send you 4-7 items and all of them will be cruelty free!

They ship in plain brown boxes.

This is their information cards.

The first thing I got is a little coin purse from Lavishy. A similar one goes for $11.99. While cute, it seems a bit young for me, so I'll probably end up giving this to my younger sister.

The next item is two LA Fresh Oil-Free Face Cleanser wipes. These go for $1. I've tried other LA Fresh wipes before and they're pretty nice. I know for sure I'll use them and if I can find them at TJ Maxx, which I have before, I might pick up a box.

Then there is a Jersey Shore Sun Vegan Lip Conditioner in Wintermint. This is full sized and goes for $5. I like lip balm and I always have one with me. I'll totally throw this in my purse right away!

The next item is a Ferro Cosmetics Mineral Eye Shadow in Champagne. I'm estimating this to be about $2.50. This is a pretty pinkish brown shade and I can see myself wearing it often, since it really is a nice neutral shade. I love mineral makeup, and even though I've tried this brand before, I was excited to see this!

Then I received a Soap Box Black Soap Body and Soul Wash.  This goes for .28. I love trying out new soaps, and since this is a gel instead of a bar, it's even better in my book! It has shea butter and jojoba oil in it, so hopefully it will be nice and moisturizing. Plus the full size of this is cheap, so this is just a giant win!

Two sample packets from Everyday Minerals. One is a Finishing Dust and the other is a Blush in All Smiles. These go for $.50?  I order a lot of stuff from indie makeup brands and a lot of times their samples come in baggies. I'll just put them in some small makeup jars and they'll be good to use! I'm really interested to try these! I use finishing powder everyday, so I hope this one sets my makeup just as good as my other one does. Also the blush is a nice neutral color, so I'm hoping to like that too! I might actually make an order from Everyday Minerals!

The last item is the Color Club Harlem Lights Nail Polish Mini Set. This goes for $12. I love these colors! They are so pretty and the glitters in this set are absolutely stunning! The colors are Sugar Rays which is a nice rose gold duochrome, Apollo Star which is a nice glittery tannish color, Lady Holiday which is a blue gray color, and Savoy Nights which is a blue and silver glittery color.

All totaled my box is worth $33.27. That is a pretty good value since I only paid $20 for the box, but I don't love the items like I did last month. I'm not too sure why, since most of the brands are new to me and I'll use everything, I guess it just doesn't have that exciting factor that the last one had. Oh well, Vegan Cuts is still one of my favorites and I'm looking forward to next month!

Starlooks Birthday Box Review December 2013!!

Hey guys! So a couple weeks ago I posted a review of my December Starbox from Starlooks, and today I have a review of their birthday box! I had heard a ton of people talking about them ever since Starlooks came around, but with their new rewards program I wasn't sure they were still going to do birthday boxes, so I emailed them, and they said that they still were and then they sent out my birthday box the next day. (My birthday was December 13th.)

They shipped it in a plain white bubble mailer, and it got here super fast!

The birthday boxes look the same as the regular boxes.

This is their Happy Birthday card.

The first item is a Single Eye Shadow Compact (I'm not sure of the shade since it's not listed.) This is full sized and goes for $12. I love this color! It's a nice blue toned grey (it looks almost periwinkle in the pan) and it looked beautiful when I put it on! I paired it with some blue eyeliner and my eyes looked super pretty and wintery!

The next item is a Lip Gloss in Coy. This is full sized and goes for $12. I thought this would be a bit too nude for me, but on I think it's actually a really pretty neutral shade and I like it a lot!

The last item is an Eye Pencil in Indigo Frost. This is full sized and goes for $12. This is a pretty purple color. It was nicely pigmented and went on super smoothly.

Isn't that color amazing? I love it and I don't think I have any other eyeliners in this exact shade.

All totaled my birthday box has a value of $36! That's great since it was free, plus I adore what I got! The colors and everything! I really loved that, with the exception of the lip gloss, nothing was really a neutral shade, and that is why I get subscription boxes to try out new products and colors. Starlooks is one of my new favorite subs, and I'd recommend anyone try them out! (:

Lip Factory Review December 2013!!!

Hey guys! Today I'm going to be reviewing my December Lip Factory Box!

Lip Factory is $22 a month and they send out all full sized makeup with an emphasis on the lips, so you usually get 2 lip products a month. Then in March and November they have an All About Lips month were they send out all lip products!

They ship a box in a box, with a brown shipping box and a smaller black box with their logo on it.

This is their information cards. They are nice and big and I really like them!

The first item is a PureCeuticals Pumpkin Enzyme Cleanse. This is just a little foil packet and I'm going to say it goes for $1. I'm pretty meh about this, mostly because of how small the packet is. Lip Factory used to give out little packets as extra, but I guess this was legit part of the box this month.  I'm not trying to be greedy or anything, it's just different then what they used to do.

Then I received a J Cat Fab Five Eyeshadow palette in Mighty Hazel. This goes for $4.99. I have been fairly impressed with all the other J Cat items I've tried before, but I'm still not sure if I can justify using this or not. It's so neutral and I already have other similar palettes open in similar colors. They have so many colorful ones, I wish I had gotten one of those instead.

The next item is an Essence Lash and Brow Gel Mascara. This goes for $2.99. I love clear brow gel and I use it every day, plus this one is way cheaper then the one I normally use, so hopefully this one is just as good!

Then there is a Micheal Marcus Plump Lip Plumper. This goes for $20. I already put this in the giveaway pile. For one it smells awfully strong! Like icy hot almost, not something I'd want on my lips. For another I don't use lip plumpers. I will if they are already included in a gloss or lip stick, but I can never tell much difference with them and I don't think it's another step I really want to take.

The next item is a NCLA Nail Polish in Prized Possessions. This goes for $16. I love NCLA nail polish! They are 5 free and they have beautiful polish colors and easy to use nail wraps! This color is part of their newish Black Market Collection and after looking at swatches of the other colors I think I need them all! They are all sparkly and super pretty. This one has a dark purple/ almost black looking base with blue, purple, and green glitter in it. I love it!

The last item is a MeMeMe Boho Balm Lip & Cheek Tint in Pink Rouge. This goes for $10.70. First off look at how beautiful that packaging is! I love it, so vintage! Plus I love that this came in a tin, I'd totally feel safe keeping this in a travel bag since it seems super sturdy. One side is a nice bright pink and the other is more of a coraly color. I really like both of these colors and I can see myself reaching for them often. Also this smells super good! I just adore this product and it's probably my favorite in the box!

All totaled my box is worth $55.68. Even though that's over the cost of my box, I only really love 2 out of the 6 items (and I'll for sure use 4/6), but I tend to cancel/keep a sub based on how much I love the products, not based on whether I'll use them or not (because I'll pretty much try/use anything.) I've been pretty meh about Lip Factory since I subbed, and I kept waiting for them to wow me, but I think as of right now I'm going to cancel and not resub.

Saffron Rouge Inner Circle Review December 2013!!

Hey guys! So I have a new subscription box, well new to me at least, to share with you guys today! I actually got this in about a week ago, but I wanted time to try some of the products out before I showed it to you guys.

The new box is Saffron Rouge's Inner Circle. It costs $24.99 a month and they say they will send out deluxe samples from well known and up coming organic beauty brands from all over the world! My New Year's resolution is to start using mostly organic and cruelty free brands, so I thought that finding another subscription that sends that would be great! Plus if you like the products in the box and you want to buy a full size they give you 10% off.

They ship in a Priority Flat Rate box, and then inside they have smaller green and white boxes, which are marked Inner Circle and look really nice. I'm not actually too sure what happened to that box of mine, but it just sort of disappeared.

They did also send an Inika bag though this month, but I think that's because they included an item from Inika.

This is their information card. It folds out like a pamphlet and really talks about the products, including tips on how to use them!

The first item is a Inika Mineral Bronzer in Sunloving. This is full sized and goes for $35! That's awesome that this is full sized, but I really wish I would have gotten something else. I'm not a big fan of bronzer, I really only use it to contour, and I'm not even sure if I could use it for contouring since it's so shimmery. Maybe I could use it as an eyeshadow though? Since it really is a pretty shimmery light brown color.

The next item is an Alima Pure Flocked Sponge. This goes for $6. I really like how this feels, it's nice and soft, and it feels sturdy (not like those little triangle shaped makeup sponges, which is kind of what I was expecting this to be like.) I've already used this and I really liked this, and I could totally see myself buying one of these again!

The next item is a Living Nature Eye Pencil in Midnight. This is full sized and goes for $15. I have enough black eyeliner to last me decades, and since this is a pencil one instead of a roll up one, I think I'll probably just give this to a friend. I wish subs would send out any other color eyeliner, like even gray would be more preferable, since at least it would be something different!

Then I got two samples of Dr. Hauschka Eye Solace. These are 5 ml and go for $6.59. I guess you use one of these capsules per use, so technically this is two uses. I'm super excited to use these, you pour them on cotton rounds and leave them on your eyes for 10 minutes, and I will one day during Gabe's nap time! My eyes can use any extra help they can get, so if these work super well, I might use my 10% off on these.

The next item is a Mini Vapour Nail Polish in the shade Captive. This goes for $8. I love this shade! It is such a pretty burgundy color! I've been obsessed with this shade recently, so I'm excited to try one from a brand I've never heard of before. Plus this brand is 3 free, which is great!

The last item is a Suki Color Luscious Lips Berry Cream Trio. This is full sized and goes for $31.95. I love Suki products, so I was really excited to get to try out their color line. These come with two lip (or cheek according to the card) colors in Wineberry and Sugarberry and a lip repair butter. I've only used the lip repair butter so far, but it was nice and moisturizing.

All totaled my box has a value of $102.54. I think that's the highest value box I've ever gotten, even more so then my Popsugar and Wantable boxes. That's amazing considering I only paid $25 for the box. Plus with the exception of the eyeliner and bronzer I really love everything I got! I am so impressed with Saffron Rouge's Inner Circle. They sent a great mix of products. I'd totally recommend them to anybody!

Birchbox Review December 2013!!

Today I'm going to be showing you guys what I got in my Birchbox this month! This is going up a bit later, but that's because I actually had a problem with my box, and I wanted to email them about it and get it all taken care of before I reviewed it.

Birchbox is only $10 a month and they send a nice selection of sample sized makeup, skincare, hair care, nail polish. A lot of the times, I discover new brands thanks to Birchbox, so I always look forward to their boxes!

They changed their boxes this month to make them more Christmasey and I love it!

There was a lot of paper this month. Their info cards, a card about their mobile app, and a card about Cynthia Rowley's makeup line.

The first item is The Honest Company Organic Healing Balm. This is .75 oz and goes for $3.23. I really liked this! I think it hepled my dry skin and I could totally see myself buying a full size of this! I will admit though, I'm continually impressed with everything I've tried by The Honest Company, especially their diapers (they are literally the best diapers in the world.)

The next item is a Number 4 Non Aerosol Hairspray. This is 1 oz and goes for $4.50. I don't use hairspray, so I'll be passing this along to my mom, however this does say that it won't make hair crunchy so that's a plus.

The next item is a Twistband hair tie. This foes for $2.33. I love Twistbands! They are the only type of hair ties I'll use. They hold well and they don't make my hair all creasy. Plus I love the design on this one, it looks like lace!

The last item is Hello by Harvey Prince. This goes for $2.95. I really wanted to try Skinny Chic by him, but I do like this fragrance. I can't quite name the individual notes, but it smells a lot like Justin Beiber's first fragrance, Someday (my little sister is obsessed with him, so I smell this almost everyday.) It's nice, but I'm not sure that it's something I'd buy.

All totaled my box is worth $13.01. Plus I got 100 points ($10) because my box was missing an item (the Manna Kadar Cosmetics Sheer Glo, which of course happened to be the product I was most looking forward to). My box is okay this month, even though I love the Healing Balm and the Twistband, I'm still pretty meh about it overall. However I'd still totally recommend Birchbox for their awesome customer service, points system, and I usually love my boxes a lot more then I did this month! (:

Eco Emi Box Review December 2013!!!

Hey guys! Today I have a review of my December Eco Emi box! Eco Emi is only $15 a month and they send out mostly deluxe sample sized eco friendly, cruelty free products every month! Most of them are beauty related, but I have gotten a few non beauty related items as well. Plus Eco Emi usually packs their boxes every month! I think I usually get 5+ products, which is great!

Also I just want to say they have amazing customer service! They were selling mystery boxes a couple weeks ago and I ended up missing the deadline, but they said that you could email them to see if they had any left, and within minutes of emailing them I got a reply and was able to order my box! Also they ship on time every month, usually during the third week, and they ship Priority so you get it quick!

They ship in priority boxes, but they always decorate the inside of the boxes nicely! I love all the ribbons and the bag is super nice too!

This is their information cards.

The first item is a Christmas Tree Cookie Cutter from The Party Fairy. This goes for $4.75. I love fun shaped cookie cutters, and I don't have many! Me and Gabe are totally going to be baking some cookies soon and I'll make sure to use this! Mine is a bit crooked though, but I'm not to worried about it since it is still obviously in the shape of a tree.

The next item is Seed Paper by Plantables and Paper. This goes for $.75. I've gotten a lot of seeds recently, so I'm going to have a lot of planting to do this spring! I've never used seed paper though (and this one grows wildflowers), so I'm excited to try this (when there isn't inches of snow on the ground.)

The next items are two Blum Naturals Exfoliating Daily Cleansing Towelettes. These go for $.75. I actually have a big package of Blum Naturals towelettes hanging around some where, but they aren't the same as these. I remember not being super in love with them though, but I'll give these a try.

The next item is a Natural Herbal Decongestant from Sage's Aromatherapy and Oils. I'm estimating this to be worth about $4.37. This smells very herbally with a hint of mint. I'm not sure if this actually works, since I haven't had a cold since I've gotten it, but I will totally try this the next time I have one!

Then I got a Whitelighter Eye Shadow by Brija Cosmetics. This goes for $1.32. This is a nice shimmery yellow color. I'll probably use it as a highlighter in my inner corner or possibly under my brow bone depending on how yellowish it looks on my skin. I love trying out indie eyeshadows, and while I'm excited to try this, I wish they'd given out a different color.

Then there is a Winter Wonderland Goat Milk Soap by Omniio. This goes for $1.16. I love how this smells! It smells like cinnamon and nutmeg and brown sugar! I also really like goat milk soap since it's usually more on the hydrating side, so I can't wait to try this out!

Then I got a OCD Hand Sanitizer in Candy Cane Fluff from Fortune Cookie Soap. This is full size and goes for $2.89. I love Fortune Cookie Soap so I was super excited to see this! I carry hand sanitizer around in my purse, so I think I'll switch out the one I'm currently using for this one. It doesn't smell super candy cane like, but it also doesn't smell like plain old hand sanitizer either, however I'm still not sure I completely love the smell.

The last item is Aah Bath Soak by Wash. This goes for $1.50. I love how the label on this looks! I love how this smells, it smells like mint, but also somewhat floraly and I think it would be totally refreshing after a stressful day

All totalled my box has a value of $17.49. While that's not like an incredible value, it is more then the cost of the box. Plus it is a great assortment of products, and I like that I get to try so many different things. I also love that they feature so many different brands, from indie brands, Etsy stores, and even a more well known brand. I really love the variety and I'd totally recommend Eco Emi to anyone! I'm continually impressed with them and I think that if I could only have one box, I'd totally choose them!
