Yuzen Favorites Box July 2013!!

I got my Yuzen Favorites Box unexpectedly the other day and I was so excited to open it! I actually wasn't sure what it was since it came in a big Priority Mail envelope, but I was totally thrilled after I opened it.

The Yuzen favorites box is $29 and is a one time only box. Yuzen is a quarterly subscription service and starting in August will cost $33 a month. The name means You Zen and they want to send you some nice zen worthy products every month. Plus a lot of these (or maybe all of them?) are cruelty free which is something I look for when purchasing items.

This is what the outer box looks like. It is super pretty!

First look.

Isn't the packaging pretty. I love the orange paper thing and I think I'll use it as a bookmark!

This is the information card. It tells you what items you got and why they were choosing for the box.

Look at the nice big bundle of items!

The first thing that I got is Honey Stinger Pomegranate Passion Organic Energy Chews.  These go for $1.99. I have a horrible cold so I can't really taste much right now, but I will totally try these when my cold is gone. I love fruit snacks and these don't have high fructose corn syrup in them which is something I try to avoid in my diet!

The only other food item I got is Organic India tea in Tulsi Original, Tulsi Sweet Rose, and Tulsi Sleep. $.83. I drank the Tulsi Sleep tea last night and man did it knock me out! It wasn't too strong though, which is good because I hate super strong tea.

Then I got 2 Action Wipes. These go for $2 for both. I'm not really sure what I'm going to do with these since the only thing I can think of is those big wipes I had to use before I had my c-section. However they say these are good for traveling, so maybe I'll use them to freshen up when I move since the drive is like 14 hours from Iowa to Texas.

Then I got Spa Technologies Hydrating Lamiaria Oil. This goes for $11.50. I've never tried a hydrating oil before, but this says its good for eczema, so I'm totally going to try it! It smells like tea and citrus, pretty aromatherapy smelling like, but I actually kinda like the scent! Plus the size of this is awesome! A total win :)

Then I got a full size Coola Face Mineral Sunscreen. This goes for $36. I got a sample of this from Birchbox a couple months ago and I really liked it. I'm so happy to have a full size of this! I also love that it smells like cucumbers. Plus I use sunscreen everyday, so I can't really go wrong with having more. (:

Then I got a Red Flower Yuzu Mimosa Sea Algea Wash.  This goes for $4.50. I've heard so many good things about Red Flower so I'm excited to see if this lives up to the hype. It smells like floral tea, but it isn't a bad smell. I've use algae and seaweed infused bath products before and I really liked them, so hopefully this will be the same way!

The next item is also from Red Flower. It is their Plum Blossom Silk Cream. This goes for $12! I did actually use this last night instead of my normal lotion and it made my skin feel soft and moisturized. Plus this smells like fresh flowers! I adore everything about this product and if it wasn't so expensive I could see myself buying this all the time!

The last item is Cowgirl Desert Recovery Cleanser. This goes for $7.25. This is probably what I'm most excited about in my box. It is a moisturizing cleanser for dry and sensitive skin, so pretty much what I've always wanted but could never seem to find. I find most cleansers really dry out my skin, but I hope this is as good as it sounds because I would totally be willing to shell out $30 if it means I could use less moisturizer.

All totaled my box has a value of $76.07!! That is amazing considering my box was only $29. Also I will use every single item and I'm excited about every single item. I don't think that ever happens. I got the favorites box because I wasn't too sure how I'd feel about Yuzen, but considering that I'm in love with what I got I think I'm going to be getting their box in August. Also I know it wasn't, but it just feels like the box was customized to fit me with all the dry skin products, which is something I really like. I think the Yuzen Favorites box might be my favorite sub box all year!
